About Medical Laboratory Technician

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Must have A. A. degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. Must acquire West Virginia State License within ninety days. _EXPERIENCE: Previous experience as medical laboratory technician required. ___NATURE OF WORK: Precisely and accurately preforms and evaluates a variety of technical procedures. Utilizes accepted quality control techniques by manual, semi automated, or automated methodologies and equipment. Performs phlebotomy procedures and assists in other laboratory activities as requested. The Medical Laboratory Technician is competent in providing direct care to patients within the following age brackets: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
