JOB REQUIREMENTS: Responsibilities Medical Lab Technician/ Medical LabScientist Lake Geneva, WI PRN- Varaible hours Differentials availableEssential Duties and Responsibilities Collect patient specimens. Utilizethe Information System to receive patients, order and collect samples,result tests, answer questions from nurses and physicians, documentquality control activities and produce reports required to perform jobtasks. Confirms accuracy of patient sample identification prior toperforming analyses; evaluates specimen quality and identifies whenunacceptable. Documents information concerning quality of specimen,impact of sub-optimal specimens on test values. Initiates recollectionprocedure as indicated. Perform waived and moderate complexity lab testsas defined by CLIA by automated and manual methods according to definedpolicies and procedures. Analyze test results prior to release ofinformation to chart for validity and accuracy. Assure that designatedturnaround times for results are met and that critical results areappropriately reported and documented. Performs quality control andproficiency testing procedures as defined by policy. Interpret andtroubleshoot quality control results to ensure accurate and precise testresults. Performs preventative maintenance, minor troubleshooting andcalibration of laboratory instrumentation.
