About Medical Assistant - Preventative Cardiology Clinic

  Description The Medical Assistant will focus on providing comprehensive assistance for the Preventive Cardiology Clinic (PCC). This is a part-time (0.8 FTE), benefit eligible position working variable hours out of Edina until the Woodbury clinic opens in May of 2024. Upon the opening of the Woodbury clinic, the schedule will be Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, with potential to work additional hours. Preventative Cardiology Clinic (PCC) is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare. Essential Functions: Verifies patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, confirming purpose of visit. Measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient's chart. Monitor stress testing under appropriate supervision Holter monitor placement Assist physician and physician assistant in exam rooms. Give instructions or results to patients as instructed by physician or nurse practitioner either in person or by phone/email/portal Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed and available in patients' medical records prior to their appointment. Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required. Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.). Assist with prior authorizations Any and all other duties as assigned Education and Experience Requirements: Graduation from a Medical Assistant Program 1+ years' experience of Medical Assistant experience in a clinic setting. Essential Requirements: Ability to: Comply with company policies, procedures, practices and business ethics guidelines. Complete job required training.
