Position: Medical Assistant
Location:South Bay/Los Angeles Region
inlc. but not limited to: Inglewood, Koreatown/LA, Fairfax-West Hollywood
Status:Full-Time (32 - 40hrs/wk)
Schedule:Monday - Friday 8a-5p, Saturday as needed
*willing/able to assist in coverage at other clinic locations, as deemed necessary by immediate supervisor.
A qualified, experienced medical assistant is needed for a community health clinic located in Southbay/Los Angeles-Santa Monica (consists of Inglewood, Culver City and other LA clinics) Mission City Community Network, Inc. (MCCN) is looking for a professional, outgoing, and friendly team member with ability to multi-task. Must be reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently. Must maintain or exceed competency levels as established by corporate standards for clinical practice. Must have basic computer skills with knowledge of medical terminology.
Medical Assistant,will require:
vitaling, venipuncture, injections, tray set-up, assisting providers as neededtranslation of Spanish to Englishfront office appointment scheduling, verifying insurance/program eligibility and other duties deemed necessaryAble to function with minimal supervision, track Referrals, Abnormal Labs, ensure proper scheduling of patients office visits: annual handp, vaccines, women's health, etc.Ensure patient check in / out is flowing accordinglyAssist is retinal screening.Telephone and in-person screening limited to intake and gathering of information and follow-upObtaining vital signs and recording patient historyPreparing and Maintaining examination and treatment areas (ex: sterilazation)Preparing and Assisting with routine and specialty examinations, procedures and treatmentsMaintaining and Administering vaccinesAssist and Administer Electorcardiography (EKG)Ensuring proper collection of specimens: bloodwork, urinalysis, etcOther duties as assignedQualifications and Skills
Must have experience in drawing blood and administering vaccinesBilingual (English/Spanish, Korean) ,required.High School Diploma/GED from a WASC accredited School.Medical Assistant Diploma from an accredited school,requiredCalifornia Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), preferredMust maintain a current BLS certificationAbility to pass Basic Clerical Skills Test and Medical Assistant Competency Test.6 months Referrals experience preferredMinimum 1+ year experience front and back office medical clinic setting (*required)2+ year as a Medical Assistant assisting, training, directing Medical Assistants,preferredMust have current driver license, insurance and own reliable transportation (*required)Must have a valid established driver's licenseWilling to assist in coverage at other SB/LA, SGV Clinics, as deemed necessary by organizational needsMCCN Benefits include but are not limited to:
