Sponsorship is not available for this position.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesInspecting all aspects of utility projects including: roads, sewer collection systems, wastewater treatment plants, water distribution systems, water treatment plants etc.Review and interpret plans, site layouts, specifications and construction methods to ensure compliance to construction requirements and safety regulationsCoordinate and supervise project inspection activities to ensure contractor compliance of plans, contract documents, specifications and safety standardsAssign, schedule and maintain inspection staff throughout all phases of the projectWork on behalf of the Client to resolve construction related field issuesCommunicate and provide recommendation for field issues/conflicts/changes to ownerMaintains and reviews comprehensive project records including daily diaries, documentation of construction workforce, equipment, and materials records, inspection reports, project photos, as-built plans, pay quantity records, progress schedules, work orders and monthly payment estimates.Coordinate and monitor material testing, air balance testing and systems testing. Monitor Commissioning process including equipment testing, functional performance tests and building integration of inter-related systems. Monitor deficiency logs to assure follow up of re-testing and system performance.Coordinate with existing maintenance staff and operations when utility outages, noise control, traffic control or security is required by the work. Attend pre-outage planning meetingsMonitor project close-out procedures including O&M manuals, as-builts, punchlists, and warranty walk-through. Issue punchlists for above ceiling, open wall and Substantial Completion inspections, and revisit to confirm completion of deficienciesFollow OSHA Guidelines to ensure safe working environment (lock-out/tag- out, maintain MSDS sheets etc.)Coordinate with local health, safety, fire and building inspectors to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.Demonstrate independent and effective problem solving/decision making.Nonessential Functions and ResponsibilitiesPerform other related duties as assigned

　　Required ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentStrong Computer proficiencyActive driver's licenseMinimum of 5 years of construction inspection experience in water and wastewater field, involving pipeline, pumping stations, treatment plant, etc.Must possess knowledge and experience in construction testing requirements, as well as knowledge in construction inspection procedures, and inspections methodologies,Must possess OSHA 10 hour or OSHA 30-hour certification or the ability to obtain within 3 months of hire,Ability to work in a team environmentAbility to enter, transcribe, record, store and maintain information in written and electronic formsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionKnowledge of codes and regulationsPreferred ExperienceA Two- year technical school certification in mechanical or electrical construction or technical associate degree a plusExperience with facility start-up and commissioning and project close-out a plus.Experience with construction of new treatment plants and building construction a plusWorking Condit onsWork is performed in the field. Ability to extensively perform bending, kneeling, standing, and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs as needed.
