Job Description Summary
At Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Company, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.
The Instrumentation Team is responsible to execute all the activities in experimental testing regarding instrumentation application and validation.
In this role, you will install thermocouple, strain gauges, RTDs accelerometers, pressures and other sensors and cabling to interface with Data acquisition Systems. Functional checks should be done and recorded to support instrumentation reporting.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Manufacturing of sensors and Cabling
Sensor application according to Electrical / Mechanical Schemes, procedures and Practices
Instrumentation and cabling troubleshooting and repair
Execute functional instrumentation checks and verification and collect data for technical reports
Guarantee in the workshop the application of the legislation, rules, policies and provisions defined on the site (rules of procedure, compliance with permits and qualifications, application of memoranda, roadmaps)
Provide innovative solutions for improvement, safety, quality and production performance
Redact Instrumentation Lists and Reports
Qualifications/Requirements:
High school Diploma or Professional Qualification in the electrical or electronic field
Ability to operate accurately on very small items
Knowledge of the main graphic symbols used in the diagrams (electrical and mechanical)
Good knowledge of Electrical and Electronical
Good knowledge of electrical and mechanical drawing
Fluent in Italian and good knowledge of written and spoken English
Good manual skills on small details items
Problem solving and diagnostic skills
Ability to practice Standard Procedure (Standard Work & Quality System)
PC literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft software packages
Ability to work unsupervised to meet deadlines.
Dexterity in electrical assembly (connection tools, medium voltage work, voltmeter, etc.)
Willingness to travel to our other factories and to our customers.
Availability to make business trips to Europe
Availability to work shifts where required
If and where necessary, carry out instrumentation activities in the test rooms on board Test Article
To be highly self-motivated and have the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Work visa in accordance with local regulation
