GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Mechanical Engineer performs engineering assignments in the design of the mechanical component of capital equipment, fabrications, and replacement parts. All activities are done in a way that represents Gasbarre Products in a professional manner.

Functions and Details:
Collect, analyze and organize design data required for each projectBased on the collected data develop a design concept including full bill of materials for the sales departmentDevelop equipment and system layout drawings to provide to customerDevelop fabrication, assembly, special atmosphere, combustion, pneumatic, and other drawings to provide to the manufacturing departmentWork with internal and external parties to develop the most efficient design for the customer and for IFS manufacturingDevelop SolidWorks 3D models and/or AutoCAD drawingsBuild bill of materials for release to manufacturingWork with vendors to provide purchased components for assemblies that meet performance criteria and are cost effectiveCommunicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customersVisit customers as needed to collect required data for assigned projectsOrganize equipment manualsAny other duties as detailed by the President and Engineering ManagerKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
CommunicationOrganizationProblem Solving and Analytical SkillsProficient in SolidWorks and AutoCADMS Office Products (MS Word, MS Excel; others are a plus)Some travel locally and within the US requiredQualifications
