*What you get to do:*• Assemble metal, plastic and fiberglass fabrications, such as stands, conveyors, saws, or other mechanical equipment, partially or completely, working at a bench or on the shop floor. May include bolt installation on structural steel assemblies. Aids in troubleshooting and maintenance of shop equipment and general shop duties, as needed.• Complete assembly of intricate units composed of a large number of component parts, or of large and complicated units.• Under limited supervision performs highly diversified work involving considerable adjusting, fitting and aligning to very close tolerances and strict inspection standards. • Requires reading of blueprint and schematic drawings.• Works from drawings or specifications. • Constructs foundation for equipment as required. • Fabricates connections and other parts as required. • Assemble, attach and install electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic components and hardware in a prescribed manner using power or hand tools, testing devices, gauges and other equipment to form complete units or sub-assemblies. • Check for proper fit or adjustment and make necessary adjustments.• Aligns machines, equipment and parts.• Dismantles equipment as required and reassembles as needed. •Repairs and lubricates machines and equipment. • Handles and moves machinery and equipment. • Maintains creativity and flexibility while working within customer requirements.• Develops fabrication and installation plan. • May plan assembly procedures and direct the work of others. • May test or inspect assembled units. Work may be in a clean room environment.• Supports team approach to problem-solving.*Location: *Mount Vernon
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 (DOE)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 hour shifts, may require some overtime work
