The incumbent will need to make connections with electric utility prospects and existing customers within territory, motivating and encouraging them to achieve the expected growth goals for the territory and overall business. The work involves driving towards results by acquiring the dedication and consensus of others. While the job requires strong initiative and self-direction, results are only achieved through people. Knowledge and skill in how to successfully influence and persuade others by understanding how their individual needs and motivations link to goals is critical.This position requires a high degree of consultative selling. The job environment is fast-paced and results-oriented. The role has a variety of tasks and is multifaceted and changing. Because goals and desired results can quickly change, the job requires regularly meeting and proactively establishing relationships with new groups. The ability to understand, quickly react, and empower others to adapt to the changing organizational environment is critical to success. In general, the core of this position requires a motivated and motivating team builder and organization developer.Ideally candidate would live in Northeast US (Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Delaware, Maryland)* Develop and maintain relationships with electric utilities (IOUs, Co-ops, and municipalities) located within the territory, creating value, and striving to achieve financial results.* Develop and implement sales plans to achieve the territory growth and market share goals.* Establish, maintain, and prioritize a project conversion pipeline within the assigned region.* Advise the company of business, product, and competitive trends within the region in support of our new product, service, and business initiatives. Incorporate trends and work across the organization to develop sales tools and promotions focused on achieving new product and financial objectives.* Understand and communicate the features and benefits of McWane ductile iron poles on product usage and applications.* Coordinate activities with regional sales manager, inside sales, production scheduling, operations, engineering, marketing, and finance departments to achieve territory sales objectives.* Help coordinate activities and resolve internal problems that can negatively impact customers, including quality, manufacturing, scheduling, delivery, and billing issues.* Analyze sales levels and trends, and initiate actions as necessary to ensure the attainment of sales objectives.QualificationsRequired (Basic) Qualifications:* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent industry experience.* Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the utility or similar industry.* Ability to handle multiple projects occurring simultaneously with a sense of urgency for goal attainment.* Ability to write and execute strategic sales
