Job Description

The Overnight General Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing a broad range of maintenance duties throughout the night. This includes general repairs in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and front of house areas. The role also involves performing entry-level preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public areas, as well as addressing repair needs involving mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment.

This role will also qualify for an additional $1.00 per hour during overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

Conduct general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting facilities, and public areas to ensure a high level of property upkeep and guest satisfaction.

Perform preventative maintenance tasks to prolong the lifespan and efficiency of hotel facilities and equipment.

Address and resolve repair needs involving mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment.

Maintain effective communication with hotel staff and guests to ensure all maintenance issues are addressed promptly and thoroughly.

Collaborate with other maintenance team members to manage and prioritize tasks effectively, ensuring smooth operation during overnight hours.

Qualifications:

Minimum of one year of building maintenance experience, preferably within a hotel setting.

Demonstrated skills in mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry repairs.

Excellent customer service skills, capable of clear and effective communication with guests and staff.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, particularly during overnight shifts.

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in maintenance-related fields is a plus.

Additional Benefits

$1,000 sign-on bonus with a $500 payout after 30 days of employment and $500 after six months of employment.

Additional $1.00/ hour during overnight shifts.
