Reference #: 1033736The successful candidate must have relevant working experience and be able to operate, repair, rebuild, and maintain all types of industrial engine/rental equipment in a fast paced environment and must be able to mult-task. The primary focus of this position will be the maintenance of the rental fleet. The successful candidate must also have good human relations skills and abilities and the personality to successfully communicate and problem solve with customers. Customer satisfaction is of primary consideration.The essential functions of this position include the following:Independently and successfully diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain diesel engines, compressors, pumps and heatersPerform work on generators in various working conditionsUtilize a laptop computer for information and diagnostic purposesAccurately complete service reports and provide the details to complete work ordersWork overtime as requiredMaintain tool requirementsAs a Shop Mechanic you are required to work in an industrial environment which includes exposure to significant environmental conditions. Physical requirements include:- Overall stamina- Sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing- Carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, and crouching, listening, and speaking- Must have good motor coordination skills- Coordination of eyes, hands, and feet- Verbal intelligence, and numerical intelligence- The workplace environmental conditions include subject to noise, heat, coldInjury exposures, and atmospheric exposures- Must be able to lift 50 poundsRequirements: Previous experience with diesel engines, power generation and air compressor repairs.
