Overview
BlueHalo Labs has an immediate opening for a Material Planning Specialist to support our Albuquerque, NM location. The Material Planning Specialist will be an integral member of the BlueHalo manufacturing team and will collaborate to create and maintain build schedules that execute on customer pricing, contract terms, and agreements. This position will be responsible for understanding and collaborating to maintain program inventory, production floor execution, final system shipments and mitigations of associated risks.
You’d like to do this
• Create and maintain program production schedules in collaboration with company master schedules. • Serve as lead point of contact in the organization for prioritization, and scheduling of tasks associated with hardware procurement and build activity in conjunction with Engineering Leads, Program Leads, Quality personnel, Finance, internal or external manufacturing facilities as well as other elements within Engineering, and Supply Chain Management. • Understand and communicate material lead times and inventory risk. • Work alongside functional support organizations to align procedures for continuity across multiple organizations and databases. • Team with manufacturing engineers to understand and influence production build routing. • Monitor procurement performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues. • Monitor and analyze work in process. • Update status of parts and materials using automated systems Identify and report problems and recommendations to ensure part availability. • Coordinate raw material post processing schedules with outside businesses. • Analyze problems and resolve or reconcile discrepancies with parts and materials to maintain inventory and system accuracy. • Coordinate with other functional groups to execute priorities, expedite and complete production activities to avoid schedule delays. This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, and flexible work hours may be accommodated.
Travel: Some travel may be required (10%).
You’re required to have this
• Bachelor’s Degree with 7-15 years of business and/or programs experience • Minimum of 6 years of combined work experience (can include Graduate school experience) in functional areas of Supply Chain, Engineering, or Project Management • Knowledge of U.S. Government acquisition laws and regulations (Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR)) • Demonstrated expertise with a modern ERP system, similar to SAP or Oracle or similar experience in manufacturing environments. • Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Office tools. • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in cross functional environment. • Demonstrated ability to work independently. • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. • Strong interpersonal skills. • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to work under limited supervision. • Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Security Clearance • Proven Experience with import and export laws (International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
Desired Experience: • Expertise with Aegis FactoryLogix MES usage and operation. • Experience working with Unanet, Flowtrac, Arena, Microsoft 365, and Impromptu reporting.
