Job Description Summary
As a Wind Turbine Gear Center Material Planner in GE Renewable Energy, you will drive on-time delivery of materials in support of the Amarillo TX site. The position also takes ownership of Material Inventory levels, and interfaces with a cross functional team, including commercial, engineering, sourcing, logistics, and manufacturing operations.

Essential Responsibilities:
Monitor supply and demand misalignment, and collaborate with manufacturing sources to implement corrective action plans
Release material plan/production requirements to manufacturing sources
Identify and react to material plans that do not meet customer requirements Execute planning and scheduling activities for assigned part numbers using Oracle ERP planning system
Create and maintain Direct Material Purchase requisitions in RACES (company ordering system)
Monitor and follow up PO creation process and supplier execution
Maintain a close relationship with Sourcing in order to optimize material arrivals and to expedite material orders when needed
Own KPI’s associated with % of short cycle orders and promise dates adherence to need by dates
Coordinate with Master Scheduler to establish demand in Oracle ERP for upcoming projects and then coordinate plan for Shop Order Releases based on interaction with Operations and Materials Team
Be responsible for maintaining comprehensive tracking program that consolidates New Product Introduction management, cut-in planning and BOM releases to optimize configuration
Be responsible for inventory management for assigned parts and processes required to ensure material input to support customer requirements while financial inventory objectives are accomplished
Monitor supply and demand alignment
Coordinate planning and scheduling activities for assigned commodity utilizing advanced planning tools to model, simulate, and release optimized material plans to the organization
Apply appropriate optimization methodologies to balance service level, inventory, and resource utilization using advanced planning tools
Travel: Up to 10%
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 2 years experience in Sourcing, Production and Material Planning.
Minimum of 2 years experience in Line of Balance (LOB)
Desired Characteristics:
Experience in ERP Systems (Oracle, SAP) and advanced planning tools
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management/Manufacturing Management
Junior Military Officer (JMO)
