SUMMARY
This position is responsible for accurate receiving, storing, shipping, repackaging, and palletizing of product to meet company standards of sanitation, safety, security and productivity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Repair and recoup damaged goods as required.
Count all product, compare to manifest and check all shipments for damage, infestation and production code dates.
Report shortages, damages and miss-shipments on appropriate forms.
Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.
Efficiently stack and store merchandise.
Compare quantity, labeling and address with order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct.
Transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with material handling equipment.
Stencil, tag or mark orders as required.
Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, reboxing and repacking as needed.
Efficiently move product into trailers, rail cars or containers.
Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts.
Ensure proper stock rotation.
Education & Experience:
High school or G.E.D. degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Work is primarily performed in a non-climate controlled warehouse environment. May be exposed to varying weather elements. Frequently bends, stoops, and stands for long periods of time. Requires lifting and stacking of items up to thirty (30) pounds above head, and lifting and stacking items up to sixty-five (65) pounds to chest height and carrying them a distance up to fifty (50) feet. Requires lifting items weighing up to one hundred pounds (100) to a height of ten (10) inches. Requires climbing ladders and stair ramps. Requires the use of clear speech communicated to others and understanding the speech of another person. Requires the ability to see details of objects within close range.
