Responsibilities This is a second shift position.The hours are Monday thru Friday from 3pm to 12am. The Material Handlerperforms daily distribution yard activities for a facility. Performdistribution-related functions (receiving, storing, andshipping/building of loads). Operate forklift. Ensure load matches orderprior to vehicle exiting yard. Perform customer service activities.Material Handlers have broad in-depth knowledge of building materialproducts and warehouse operations. Possess alertness and adaptation towarehouse routines. Understand and apply fundamental mathematicalcalculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).Maintain good housekeeping in work area. Follow safety programs andensure compliance of OSHA regulation. Material Handlers demonstratestrong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, andcontinuous process improvement. Perform other duties andresponsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: HSDiploma, GED or two (2) years equivalent work experience. Must be ableto understand and communicate safety and other work relatedinstructions. Working Conditions are in a warehouse operationsenvironment with considerable physical exertion. Will perform duties inall weather conditions. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of buildingmaterial products and engineered wood products a plus. Ability tounderstand and measure lengths of material required. General warehouseexperience, including industrial forklift operation, and/or knowledge ofwarehouse work environment preferred.
