About Marketing Project Manager for Weatherhead School of Management

  POSITION OBJECTIVE

  The Weatherhead School of Management Project Manager reports to the marketing director and is an integral member of the marketing team. The Project Manager oversees the development of all marketing initiatives, from those designed to build brand awareness with graduate prospects, organizations, and the community to communications with internal stakeholders, including faculty, alums, and business partners.

   

  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  Evaluate annual brand initiatives aimed at enhancing awareness, engagement, and enrollment among graduate prospects, organizations, and the community. (15%)Provide strategic guidance in the formation of advertising and communications plans. Investigate and implement strategic planning on ways to make processes better to achieve the goals of the Management school.  (15%)Engage with leads in graduate programs, external relations, and school of Management centers to prioritize budget and execute brand and communications projects across various mediums, including traditional advertising, collateral materials, videos, social media, events, and signage. (15%)Develop marketing analytics to build robust performance to continually evaluate and optimize program objectives and results. (10%)Facilitate communications with faculty, alums, business partners, and the university's advertising and creative partners to develop plans and channels for gathering, disseminating, and storing project performance information, including ongoing success and metric reporting. (10%)Provide feedback, advice, project updates and encouragement to team members. (10%)Secure ad placements and sponsorships for special/regional media buys, convey the vision, and identify parameters to creative partners and agencies. (10%)Manage and coach Graduate Assistants in fulfilling special projects. (10%)

   

  NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  Track and follow up on project status and action items, including description, deliverables, budgets, and deadlines. (2.5%)Coordinate with other marketing department team members to build synergy and efficiency. (2.5%)

   

  CONTACTS

  Department: Continuous contact with the department staff and ongoing graduate program leads to facilitate and promote action to achieve immediate operative results

  University: Occasional contact with university marketing to maintain workflow

  External: Ongoing contact with the School of Management advertising and creative partners to address concerns and problems.

  Students: Daily contact with student interns for the exchange of information.

   

  SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  Supervise student interns. The potential to supervise as staff is added to achieve marketing goals.

   

  QUALIFICATIONS

  Experience: 5 years of project management experience working at an advertising agency, university, non-profit, or business organization required.

  Education: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in advertising, marketing, business, or project management.

   

  REQUIRED SKILLS

  Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to connect effectively across a matrix organization.

  Capability to meet strict deadlines and deliver ongoing incremental performance improvements.

  Ability to supervise workflow. Honed teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  Ability to exercise independent judgment.

  Excellent organizational skills.

  Familiarity with publication layout, graphic arts, and media buying.

  Ability to interact with colleagues, supervisors, and customers face to face.

  Ability to meet consistent attendance.

  Possess a customer-focused and results-oriented attitude.

  Demonstrated entrepreneurial and resourceful skills.
