Location/Division Specific Information
The Market Development Specialist for Genetic Sciences is a member of the Latin America Regional Marketing Team within the Genetic Sciences Division. This role leads the implementation of go-to-market strategies and demand generation plans for their assigned portfolio, which includes our agribusiness and our research core business, like qPCR, Digital PCR, Capillary Electrophoresis, Next-generation sequencing, and Microarrays for genotyping. They will be a project leader and liaison to customers and the sales force to facilitate the conversion of marketing ideas and messages into effective marketing programs leading to sales, improved customer experiences, and market growth.
How will you make an impact?
In this role you will coordinate closely with the global Market Development team, Product Management, and regional Marketing Operations/Communications, local Commercial Sales, and Digital Marketing to help develop and implement coordinated marketing programs crafted to help reach sales, marketing, and revenue goals for the business unit and region.
What will you do?
Participates in cross-functional teams as an individual contributor to develop tactical action plans that drive growth in key channels and customer segments.
Collects and provides Voice-of-Customer and Voice-of-Sales to business partners to identify new market trends and opportunities. Uses this information to provide input to broader market development strategies to drive a competitive advantage.
Partners with direct selling teams to identify knowledge and material needs in order to build useful sales support solutions.
Build impactful regional sales support and direct-to-customer marketing initiatives.
Develop and drive messaging and tools that communicate the value proposition directly to our customers across the customer experience and through many different channels, including multiple sales teams, digital marketing, distributors, and events.
Supports lead generation programs that result in revenue generation and long-term customer partnerships.
Achieve financial and market goals for designated product portfolio. Performs and presents detailed analyses & routine reporting around business performance and segmentation.
How will you get here?
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a biological science (i.e., molecular biology and/or cell biology) or related biological laboratory science field required.
Masters/PhD degree in life sciences and/or MBA in marketing or business preferred.
Experience
2+ years experience in product or portfolio marketing, go-to-market strategy, and plan execution.
Has functional understanding of corporate marketing functions, planning and strategy, and knowledge of life science research markets with knowledge of competitors.
A proficient understanding of customer value proposition and demand/lead generation strategies and lead maintenance efforts with either reagent or instrumentation products
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Ability to communicate well in English and Spanish with stakeholders in different levels of the corporation.

Efficiently handles overlapping regional marketing activities and priorities.
