What you’ll do:
Leading a small team of technicians within the Eaton Aerospace OEM department. Ensuring timely turnaround of both Civil and Military Aerospace components in line with Eaton’s contractual commitments.
Responsible for supervision, planning and delegation of OEM activities.
Responsible for day-to-day labour planning and hour by hour monitoring vs plan
Present daily production reviews/team meetings with relevant personnel ensuring metrics are current and timely and any subsequent issues escalated accordingly
Track Daily Utilization & Productivity within the Cell.
Assign employees to individual daily tasks to meet sales plan and ensure successful delivery of product training.
Oversee and monitor production flow, troubleshooting production issues to ensure timely delivery of production plan, recommend and implement process improvements where necessary
Manage and engage team to maximise production efficiency to meet assigned goals
Ensure adherence to Company policies, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) CMM ‘s (Component Maintenance Manual)
Ensure Safe Working Practices are always adhered to
Ensure accurate maintenance of all production paperwork
Maintain line cleanliness through good housekeeping 5s+ practices.
Coordinate and prioritise workload and resource inc holiday planning, temp resourcing, training matrix, capacity planning, absorption, timecard approvals to deliver business commitments, and escalate where appropriate
Demonstration of Leadership competencies to ensure engagement and motivation of incumbent team.
Carry out and maintain risk assessments and adhere to COSHH regulations.
Deputise for the MTM where required.
Liaise with Sustaining / Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Engineering to overcome/improve production related problems.

Qualifications:
• BTEC/A Level equivalent
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Manufacturing/Operations
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience leading others
• Proficient in reading and writing English.
Skills:
Working knowledge of Aerospace products, policies and associated assembly techniques and performance test methods desirable but not essential. Similar backgrounds and industry advantegous.
Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings/CMMs
Able to lead and motivate a team within a controlled environment
Ability to work closely within a team environment and contribute effectively to problem solving activities.
Ability to coordinate and prioritise workload and resource
Understanding of Lean tools desirable
Experience of working within a Part 145 organisation desirable
