That\'s why we are always looking forcurious minds that see themselves imagining the unimaginable with us.Your role: The Manufacturing Operator 1 at MilliporeSigma will produceand purify chemical compounds to meet the needs of our customers bycompleting the following tasks on a daily basis: Produce and purifychemical compounds to meet the requirements of MilliporeSigma customersStage materials operating a variety of warehouse equipment Basicoperation of vessels, tanks, dryers, and other related equipment Performin-process analytical testing including work-ups and simpleinterpretations as described in the Master Production Record Performdistillations, filtrations, and extractions to isolate and purifyproduct Follow and support all safety and quality procedures and systemsShift/Hours/Schedule: 2nd shift, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM, Mon - Fri PhysicalAttributes: Wear an air helmet, respirator mask, safety shoes, rubberapron, chemical protective suits and gloves, safety glasses and gogglesto protect from toxic or corrosive chemicals Work in an occasional wet,humid or abnormally hot or cold environment Sit, stand, walk, reachabove the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, or crouch for long periods oftime Lift and move 50 pounds Work with and in proximity of hazardouschemicals Use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheralvision, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus Use a range ofoffice, laboratory, and manufacturing equipment Work near movingmechanical parts Who you are: Minimum Qualifications: High SchoolDiploma or GED Preferred Qualifications: Associate\'s Degree inChemistry, Biology, or other science discipline Prior industrial workexperience or chemical handling experience Strong mechanical proficiencyMathematical skills Excellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to read and understand written protocols Understand chemicalreactions and hazards Understand ISO and quality systems What we offer:We are curious minds that come from a broad range of backgrounds,perspectives, and life experiences.
