job summary:
A Manufacturing Engineer is needed for a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in the Mossville, IL area. The Manufacturing Engineer optimizes production efficiency, interprets engineering drawings, collaborates on quality standards, and leads Control Towers.

responsibilities:
Study time, motion, methods, and speed for maintenance, production, and other operations.
Establish standard production rates and improve efficiency.
Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas.
Confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
Read worker logs, product processing sheets, and specification sheets to verify adherence to quality assurance specifications.
Aid in planning work assignments based on worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delays.
Prepare charts, graphs, and diagrams illustrating workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization.
Skills:
Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.
Team player and detail-oriented.
Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
Previous experience with computer applications and software related to the engineering field, such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
2-4 years of relevant experience.
