Description:
Responsible for the engineering design, analysis and documentation of aerodynamic structures and mechanical systems & sub-assemblies.
Provide manufacturing support to fabricator and the installation/operations team. -Generate and review engineering drawings and technical reports
Develop and approve structural substantiation reports using empirical stress analysis, FEA, CFD, etc as necessary to support and validate the design. -
Develop and present design reviews with both internal and external customers. - Provide oversight and content to design/drafting operators.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
-Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
-Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
Research, design, and evaluate mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles. - Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation.
Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products, using drafting tools or computer-assisted design/drafting equipment and software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in aerospace/design and analysis (structures & stress analysis)
Experience should include some combination of aircraft modifications and analysis
Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET level security clearance.
Bachelors Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET - accredited institution.
