One of Adecco's best manufacturing clients is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join their team. Please read the supplied information and apply if you feel this position is for you. Responsibilities:
Research, specify, and design new or improved processes and equipment.
Provide cost estimates, equipment layouts, design prints, and time schedules for the installation of new processes, machines, and equipment.
Develop PLC programs (specifically Control Logix System), HMIs, microcontrollers, servo drives, and vision systems.
Select and apply sensors, communication technologies, or control devices for motion control, position sensing, pressure sensing, or electronic communication.
Create detailed electrical drawings using CAD software.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to represent engineering expertise.
Offer technical support for repair, modification, and upgrades of existing equipment and processes.
Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Provide technical assistance to Metallurgical Lab and Chemical Lab personnel for equipment and instrumentation implementation.
Offer technical direction to electricians and secure external electricians for project work.
Assist maintenance by transferring project engineering information for newly installed equipment.
Participate in technical evaluations of electrical machinery following catastrophic failure.
Contribute to and provide technical support for quality improvement teams.
Provide monthly reviews of activities and issues.
Education / Experience / Skills:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
5+ years' experience in a metalworking manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with large DC motor drive systems, computer network systems & wiring, and process control theory.
Prior success applying machine control equipment, process control instrumentation, and associated software.
Competency in OHSA, EPA, and other health & safety regulations.
Proficient in RS Logix 5000 Enterprise Series software.
Solid understanding of automation theory, electrical circuits, electrical and mechanical drawings, and simulation software.
Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
