About Manager, Technical Repair

  The Vestas Americas Tools department services Construction, Service,Transport, Serious Incident, and Continuous Improvement Management toolsfor the installation and servicing of Vestas wind turbines. These heavymachinery tools provide safe and quality lifting of wind turbine components atconstruction sites in North America. These service sites are at the forefrontof providing Vestas to be the world leader in wind energy. The Manager,Technical Repair will have extensive knowledge of tooling and mechanicalrepair, personnel and leadership development, and promote a safe workingenviro

  Responsibilities

  Maintain warehouse safety and organization to Vestas' safety standards andexpectations.

  Identifies, generates buy-in, and promotes performance and cost savingsinitiatives.

  Oversee day-to-day tooling repair and maintenance operations, establishingpriorities and optimizing resources to ensure repairs are completed on-time,and to standard.

  Review production and operating reports and resolve operational problems toensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.

  Provide regular performance feedback to subordinates. Develops subordinates'skills and encourages growth.

  Qualifications

  Bachelor's degree preferred; High school diploma or GED may be substitutedwith the equivalent level of proven experience

  3 - 5 years' experience in positions of increasing responsibility.Experience in warehousing, distribution, retail, maintenance, repairworks, or food service.

  Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience with SAP or ERP/MRP software for supplychain /inventory management.

  Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and othersoftware programs

  Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

  Constant standing and walking

  Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 64 pounds

  Operation of vehicles and plant equipment

  Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
