Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc (HATCI) is looking for an R&D Strategy Manager for our Superior Township, MI facility.SummaryThe R&D Strategy Manager functions as a "chief-of-staff" for day-day business operations within the Hyundai-America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI). This team is the binding, collaborative force for supporting HATCI within Hyundai Motor Group's industry-leading market position. The primary function of this role is to lead studies and requests for information from the wide variety of technical teams within HATCI, providing cohesive reporting and summary documents and presentations. This "point-of-the-spear" position requires a dynamic, charismatic leader with the ability to motivate teams not in direct reporting roles. The ability to use both right (creative) and left (technical) sides of the brain is key to success. Opportunities for exposure to all HATCI teams, including executive leadership are common. 　　Qualifications and RequirementsBachelor's degree required; Engineering or related field desiredMBA or Master's Degree desired, but not requiredMinimum 10 years of industry experience in R&D Strategy, Product Strategy, Product Planning, and/or Project ManagementMinimum 5 years of Automotive experience preferred2-5 years managing a team of up to 5 people or moreExcellent analytical skills, creative mindset, and problem-solving abilityExcellent communication skills a must: verbal, written, presentationProficient skills in MS Office - Excel, PowerPointProficient skills in virtual conferencing, e.g. WebEx, MS Teams or similarDemonstrated ability to adapt to rapidly changing business requirementsFlexible, organized and able to work effectively with all levels of employeesFluency with English language; bilingual Korean language skill an advantage, but not required#LI-NL1#LI-Hybrid
