During the Autumn, Winter, and Spring Quarters of the 2023-24 academicyear, the Department of Romance Languages & Literatures may havepart-time teaching opportunities in various courses in the Basquelanguage and culture program. Language courses are conducted in Basque,but culture courses may be taught in Basque, Spanish, or English.
Responsibilities will include preparing and teaching courses using ahighly interactive communicative approach, holding regularly scheduledoffice hours, and the preparing and grading of assignments and testingmaterials.
Depending on the curricular needs of the department, the successfulcandidate may teach between one and four courses per academic year. In2023-24, the per-course salary is \$7,538. This position is not benefitseligible.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are a master\'s degree or equivalent in BasqueStudies or a related field, advanced mid proficiency in Basque accordingto ACTFL guidelines or equivalent language competency, and at least oneyear of experience teaching at the college or post-secondary level.
