You partner effectively with stakeholders across development, QA, support, and program management. You educate stakeholders on how to engage your team. You ensure your DAs have enough information to prepare accurate test execution plans. You communicate priorities proactively, testing status, risks, and challenges. You use the right mechanisms for communications (e.g., WBR, MBR, QBR, email, live dashboard, wiki, etc.). You ensure your management and customers are aware of how your decisions are made. You are trusted to operate independently; however, you may require guidance and strategic direction from your manager.

You define SOPs, SLAs, and metrics for new and existing projects. You help your team prioritize deliverables, stay connected and resolve any blockers that could derail delivery schedules. You establish the quality bar for areas you own. You work with managers and associates to discover defects early. You use metrics from the test process, deployment, and production to measure project deliverable quality as well as provide actionable improvement recommendations for the process. You regularly review metrics (e.g., component/product, customer, people, and processes) and suggest improvements. You escalate as needed.

You use your knowledge of test strategies, product, and processes to predict problems or risks in execution and quality. You optimize processes and tool usage to align test plans and deliverables. You delegate, providing clear direction to manager and IC reports. You make sure they focus on providing optimal coverage at all levels and to the degree possible, to reduce test redundancy. As needed, you participate in retrospective discussions, planning, and reviews with stakeholders. You drive analysis of post-release quality and defect leakage.
