#LI-MI1General Objective of this Position:To build QFS capability of the co-manufacturer Organization by developing and auditing locations for compliance to BBU, GB and Federal and local standards. Reviewing QFS data-complaints, scoring etc., to achieve the highest levels of food safety and quality on a sustainable basis.Main Responsibilities:*Update and properly communicate Quality & Food Safety Expectations Manual*Conduct scoring sessions, complaint data review calls with critical comans.*Approve new Co-Manufacturers from QFS Perspective*Establishes goals and KPI's for Co-Manufacturers*Participates in annual risk assessment of all co-manufacturers to determine audit frequency.*Performs periodic audits of co-manufacturers based on risk assessment and direction from Top leadership from QFS*Assists with the execution of the annual Co-Manufacturer Quality Food Safety National Meeting*Collaborates with other functional departments to develop the Quality and Food Safety capabilities of co-manufacturers to enable them to drive towards zero Quality and Food Safety incidents.*Develops systems and reports to monitor Quality & Food Safety KPI's and drive improvements.*Works with management to establish specific accountabilities for co-manufacturers.*Performs data analysis trending reports for BBU co-manufacturers..*Provide guidance, coaching and direction during quality failures, regulatory inspections, food safety incidents etc. to assure proper investigation, root cause analysis and resolution.*Participates in investigations to determine and address root causes during special situations, quality failures, regulatory inspections, vendor (ingredient & packaging) related incidents, etc. to assure proper investigation, root cause analysis and resolution.*Oversees programs to reduce or eliminate consumer complaints (Quality and Food Safety).*Acts as an interface between sales/marketing and Co-Manufacturers to identify and resolve quality issues.*Follows up on corrective action plans (BBU, customer complaints, consumer complaints and quality trends).*Is aware of current food safety and quality issues through finished product scoring, bakery data and consumer complaints.*Supports BBU Plants as requested by Top QFS Leadership of the Organization.*Travel: 80%. Domestically and international. Occasional weekend travel may be necessary.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Seven (7) years minimum experience in the food industry, with five (5) years in Food Safety, Sanitation Quality Assurance, Quality Systems, Total Quality and/or Food Industry Lab Analysis with at least 2 of those years in a management role.Passport required.HACCP and PCQI CertifiedGFSI CertifiedFood Defense CertifiedSanitation Proficiency (Theory and Handson)Proficient in SPCProficient in Quality Assurance and Quality SystemsBilingual (Spanish) a plusKnowledgeable of federal and state regulations, AIB and GFSI Standards.Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Organized and detail oriented.Comfortable working in a participative team environment.The physical and mental demands described in each job posting are representative of those that must be met by n associate to successfully perform the essential functions of each job.
