This position manages the execution of the Quality Assurance operational plan to achieve the levels of quality established through organizational goals. Plans, coordinates, and manages quality program to ensure quality control of production products consistent with established standards. Sets tactical and operational plans in support of continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction. Provides guidance in the implementation of Quality Assurance plans and procedures. Responsible for two production facilities, Everett, WA and Winnipeg, Canada.
Directly manage employees in the Quality Department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies.
This is an onsite role in Everett, WA and is eligible for relocation assistance. Travel is expected to be around 10-20%.
Primary Responsibilities:
Formulates and maintains quality objectives complementary to company policies and goals.
Utilizes Key Performance Indicators to effectively track, monitor, and implement improvement activities related to business plans and goals.
Leads implementation of organization projects and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving.
Oversees quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes.
Manages teams collecting and analyzing quality information from multiple sources to develop long-term quality strategy and programs.
Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
Manages teams providing production process analyses, ensuring quality standards are met and making recommendations for quality improvement.
Plans and oversees the analysis, inspection, testing and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned products or components.
Manages and maintains department budget requirements.
Champion operations site AQPD/ZDP initiatives.
Leads and provides cross-functional quality integration leadership
Establishes, oversees, and administers processes, policies, and best practices, and determines resource requirements, acquisition, improvement plans and quality measures
Communicates, educates, trains and coaches customers, suppliers, and internal personnel regarding Quality policies, processes and procedures
Provides cross-functional Quality technical expertise
Prepares and presents departmental metrics at organizational reviews
Prepares and presents technical and program information to the management team.
Represents the company during customer visits and surveys, and during meetings and presentations at the customer’s location
Qualifications/ Experience Needed:
Typically requires University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
