About Manager, Pharmacy Programs

  Why This Role is Important to Us:

  The Manager of Pharmacy Programs is responsible for a wide range of responsibilities including execution of a variety of administrative, organizational, and operational projects and tasks within the Pharmacy team.

  Reporting to the Sr. Director of Pharmacy, the Manager will be responsible for end-to-end execution of pharmacy programs and projects, clinical/operational activities, program performance reporting, scheduling and organizing meetings, and providing administrative and project management support to the departments leaders.

  The Manager will be responsible for assisting with pharmacy vendor implementations and integrations within CCA’s key business areas. The manager will be required to effectively drive pharmacy program goals and objectives amidst a cross-functional matrix alongside key business stakeholders.

  The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, communication and collaboration skills to coordinate the many areas necessary to keep programmatic work moving forward. S/He will ensure efficiency with excellent proactive follow-through while performing duties and a clear allocation of responsibility when necessary.

  What You'll Be Doing:

  Program coordination : Coordinate and manage key aspects of projects and programs relating to the pharmacy department as assigned:

  Facilitate project coordination support related to reporting data including developing agendas, taking minutes, documenting action steps, communication and follow-up with members of project group(s).

  Monitor project closeout activities, including transition plans and lessons learned.

  Assist in development of business cases, project charters and work breakdown structures that specify goals, strategic opportunities, identification of risks and communication plans.

  Perform administrative functions (e.g. research, material development) in support of program improvement projects

  Contribute to analysis and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) and disseminate timely and accurate information to team members and cross functional workgroups.

  New vendor Implementation:

  Coordinate planning and execution and implementation of a new pharmacy vendor

  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless transition and integration of the new vendor into existing pharmacy programs.

  Risk Management:

  Identify and mitigate risks associated with pharmacy programs

  Implement strategies to ensure patient safety and minimize potential liabilities

  Continuously assess program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement

  Implement changes and enhancements based on industry best practices and feedback.

  Emergency Preparedness:

  Develop and maintain emergency response plans related to pharmacy services

  Ensure the readiness of pharmacy programs in times of crisis or disaster

  Policy Development :

  Contribute to the development and revision of pharmacy-related policies and procedures

  Ensure adherence to organizational policies and industry standards

  Secondary Dutites & Responsiblities :

  Support relationships with key stakeholders (external and internal) as deemed necessary by the Sr. Director of Pharmacy

  Promote pharmacy services and medication management tools to CCA internal teams

  Participate in pharmacy initiatives and team meetings as required

  Contribute to general performance of high functioning department

  What We're Looking For:

  Required:

  Bachelor's degree required

  Required:

  Medicare experience required

  2+ years of work, relevant collegiate, healthcare, or pharmacy experience preferred

  Must possess exceptional Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), especially Excel and Internet research skills

  Knowledge and interest of project/program management practices

  Ability to deal with a diverse and multi-disciplinary team

  Problem-solving and organizing skills

  Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

  Must be able to demonstrate productive and independent time management

  Requires ability to assess all work, organize, and prioritize as necessary.

  Must be able to work both autonomously and as a team player.

  Must have strong planning, problem solving, and analytic skills

  Must have understanding of pharmacy benefits; work independently as well as within a team environment; prioritize work; and manage and track outstanding work and work due in the future.

  Interacts independently with various levels of CCA management, staff, providers, administrative personnel, and vendors.
