Summary:
The Manager, CMG Partnership and Sales (Chesapeake Media Group) is responsible for managing day to day sales team for retail media. The Manager, Partnership and Sales develops targeted media strategies and pitch desks for Family Dollar and Dollar Tree’s vendors. This role partners closely with merchandising to leverage media investments to drive sales and trips. The Manager, Partnership and Sales is responsible for developing annual plans with key partners and assisting the Director, CMG with overall key CMG initiatives. This role leads a team of internal FTEs dedicated to selling vendor media investments.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Delivers/exceeds CMG revenue targeted
Lead sales for CMG - Dollar Tree Banner
Manage account-driven sales planning & activation strategies based on objectives of each CPG partner
Serve as the sales team’s conduit between vendors, their brands, and FD’s merchandising team, throughout the pre- and post-sales cycle
Track and report on the bottom up forecasting and budget process in collaboration with Director, CMG and 3rd party partners
Coordinates with Marketing Strategy Team to develop annual priorities and plans with vendors.
Regularly communicates and aligns senior leaders to CMG strategies and promotional plans and ensures merchandising team are well versed in CMGs benefits and media offerings.
Proactively monitor campaign progress, ensuring KPIs are being met and evaluating trends to identify key actionable insights to share with clients via regular check-ins
Master reporting tools to support new, scalable metrics to drive deeper insights and improved vendor relationships
Establishes a ‘client focused’ and ‘one team’ culture, balancing advertiser needs with organizational goals.
Lead and cultivate members of the CMG team by establishing goals for the department, measure individual results and coach for better results when appropriate.
Mentor and encourage team members in soft skills, provide guidance on personal development.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: B.A. and/or equivalent and relevant work experience
Experience: Minimum six (6) years’ experience in Retail Media, digital media and shopper marketing
Prior Experience in managing 3rd party agencies Deep knowledge of and expertise in digital media channels and tactics spanning owned and operated platforms, social and off-platform
Track record of driving revenue growth and achieving/exceeding sales targets
Proven experience in optimizing media offerings to balance advertiser ROAS, margin requirements and the customer experience
Understanding of the end-to-end process and value chain of different retail media channels and tactics
Job Related Skills: Experience with executing media in digital, in-store and print. a plus; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; ability to multi-task; experience in setting and meeting priorities; ability to build and maintain relationships with internal clients and external vendors.
Computer Skills: Intermediate use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
