This position will: Supervise staffing for all kitchenareas: Patient Services, retail cafeteria and catering Plan and developmenus for retail services and catering Assist with the development ofbudget and manage cost controls Provides leadership, support andguidance to ensure that food quality standards, inventory levels, foodsafety guidelines and customer service expectations are met.Responsibilities Develops menus, creates and tests recipes as well asdevelops practices to insure all food is presented with culinary flair.Monitors production of food preparation and presentation to insureoptimal yield and quality on finished products. Recruits, trains andmaintains high standards of production and conduct of area personnel.Works with staff to create motivated and supportive environment with theultimate goal of serving the customer. Assist in preparation of thebudget and development of short-term and long-term financial andoperational goals of the departments. Meets/exceeds the budgetedfinancial goals of the departments. Monitors to performance of the FoodService Operation through patient satisfaction (Press Ganey),productivity (Action OI), and financial reports. Coordinates andstandardizes department schedules ensuring proper coverage and meetstargeted FTE\'s. Oversees standardization of menus for patients andretail. Routinely seeks out input from all areas of the kitchen,clinical staff, patients and customers to improve or generate new menuideas and presentation. Monitors equipment and storage areas to insureoperation, sanitation, safety and security practices are beingmaintained at all times. Attends meetings as required to enhanceknowledge, job skills and communication within the department. Completescomputer-based education modules as assigned by hospital. Performs otherduties as required or assigned. Interview candidates for openings andmake hiring recommendations or hiring decisions. Ensure that newemployees are properly oriented and are aware of the performanceexpectations for their position. Plan, delegate and organize workassignments and special projects with staff. Establish work goals orquantitative/qualitative standards to be achieved with staff input.Evaluate staff\'s performance and provide feedback.
