Job Summary
This position is responsible for leading and managing the financial processes and the internal and external reporting of premiums, claims, capitations, bank reconciliations, vendor balancing and payments, pharmacy rebates, hospital discounts oversees communication with auditors, reviewing responses for quality and consistency, and responding to queries about overall process and procedures.
Provides final approval of all department journal entries and account reconciliations. Assists in the development and coordination of major financial reporting system changes associated with new product lines, mergers, acquisitions, etc., that impact premiums, claims, capitations, pharmacy rebates, bank reconciliations, etc., and oversees the implementation of those changes.
Required Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree5 years of professional work experience in finance and/or managing projects (Accounting / Finance insurance preferred).2 years of people management experience in a Business-related field (insurance / healthcare) OR Finance.Clear and concise interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.PC proficiency to include MS Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Share point, Office 365, OutlookExcellent analytical skills, detail-oriented, managing and prioritizing several tasks at the same time.Ability and willingness to travel within assigned areas of responsibility to include overnight stays.
Preferred Requirements:
Health insurance industry experience.Reporting of insurance premiums, claims, capitations, pharmacy rebates, and hospital discounts.Experience overseeing bank reconciliations, vendor balancing and payments.Experience leading financial processes.
This position is a flex arrangement includes 3 days working in the office each week.
