Your Role...
This position reports to the Director, Facilities Maintenance and has operational oversight for the Main Lot exterior and interior facilities, including: preventative maintenance, restorations, modifications, oversight of maintenance staff, value engineering proposals, working with vendors, oversight of operating expenditures, approving payroll, department performance and productivity, and special projects as needed. In addition, this position supervises employees and may assist with trade union staff, union grievances, discipline and other labor relations matters.
Working autonomously at times, this position will serve as the initial point of contact with clients requesting work, vendors for Studio Services projects and will be leading on-site walkthroughs with trades for job creation.
This position will be working with the utility and construction teams on project coordination and approvals. Working closely with OPS staff for: scheduling building/stage/backlot work, coordinating work vehicles, site walks, client field job walks and inspections of job sites. This position will also be part of all capital projects: initial project identification, meetings, tracking.
The Facilities Maintenance Manager will have oversight of Facilities Maintenance and will work with finance, reporting systems and tracking on all issues with billing, access, project initiation and coding once work is approved by Director Facilities Maintenance.
This position works closely with various departments including Safety, Fire, Construction and Utility Services to ensure protocols are followed for projects and partners with Studio Operations department managers on client needs, ensuring building, stage and backlot maintenance requests and projects are completed within budget and timeline.
Your Role Accountabilities...
Manages the Forepersons and employees in the Gardening, Labor, Crafts Services, Furniture Relocation, Facilities Maintenance and Paint departments. Responsible for handling employee related matters such as managing performance, issuing discipline, union grievances, pay issues. Approves weekly timesheets for crews.Reviews monthly P&L to ensure that projects are tracked and on budget; Pcard approver for department purchases. Oversight of Furniture Inventory and Purchasing.Reviews weekly work requests to determine the level of staffing is needed so that work can be completed. Conducts weekly team meetings for each group to communicate important information and assign projects.Performs Job walks with department head for updates on new landscaping projects, large tree trimming projects i.e. the jungle, or general information regarding the health of our landscaping and environment
Qualifications & Experience...
College preferred. 5+ years of working experience in a studio or campus environment working with multiple constituents.List technical equipment experience required: PC, Excel 40%, Word 10%, Planon 40% and Xytech 10% experience.Excellent ability to communicate (verbal and written), confident and poised while discussing issues with quick problem-solving skills and ability to build consensus while in meetings or otherwise.
In compliance with local & state law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in Burbank, CA. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Rate: $61,950-$115,050. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
