  Overview

  Waters Corporation is always looking to hire outstanding future talent for our company. The Information Technology team is looking to hire a summer intern out of our Milford, Massachusetts office on a hybrid work schedule. This internship is a phenomenal opportunity to gain real-world experience while working at the world's leading specialty measurement company. This internship will last approximately ten weeks and the program will commense in the spring/summer of 2024.

  Responsibilities

  During your internship, you will be working in the Information Technology business area, completing a project that will involve: Creating a catalog of the finance reports used by the different regions by interviewing the stakeholders Performing analysis of the reports Proposing a solution to harmonize these reports and eliminate redundancies Reducing inefficiencies and reducing the cost of maintaining different financial reports You will also: Build professional relationships and become a trusted technology advisor to leadership, stakeholders, team members and peers Conduct background research and exploratory analysis to proactively identify business needs and recommend opportunities for improvement Propose innovative solutions that solve complex business problems or improve productivity/efficiency using technology Analyze, define, implement and document business processes as well as proposed solutions Curate and create documentation and reference material Facilitate and lead meetings with clear agendas and action items Propose, communicate and garner adoption for solutions to business problems Support other strategic projects and initiatives as assigned by manager Qualifications

  Qualifications specific to this role:

  We'd love to hear from you if you have: 0-1+ years in information technology, business management, business analysis or project management through academic and/or professional experience Financial experience or knowledge Actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited university or college Interest in technology with an understanding of the market and trends Capacity to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, people and processes as well as changing priorities Attention to detail and organized Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills Able to work independently and collaborate with others in a team setting Attention to detail and organized Proficiency in presenting your ideas, analysis and plans to small and large audiences Critical thinking and problem solving Knowledge of SAP FICO, Jira and Confluence If you would like to learn more about student opportunities, click here
