The Manager, Electronic Systems Engineering that supportsour Calibration Solutions business has responsibility for leading a dynamicteam of hardware and embedded systems engineers to drive the development ofcutting-edge electronic systems. Drawing upon your extensive experience inboth PCBA design and embedded systems development, you will play a criticalrole in overseeing the entire product development lifecycle.Key Job Responsibilities:* Provide strong technical leadership in PCBA design, emphasizingefficiency, reliability, and manufacturability.* Oversee the creation of schematics, PCB layouts, and design documentation.* Manage embedded systems development projects, ensuring code quality,reliability, and adherence to industry standards.* Collaborate with embedded systems engineers to optimize software-hardwareinteractions and system performance.* Champion DFT and DFM principles within the electronic system designs.* Collaborate with component suppliers, PCB manufacturers, and embeddedsystems tool providers.* Develop RFQs and agreements with suppliers to optimize cost, quality,and timelines.* Conduct extensive testing and validation of designs and communicate risklevels to the team.* Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to integrate electricalsystems with other subsystems and ensure seamless system functionality.* Lead and support the prototyping, testing, and debugging of electricalsystems, troubleshoot issues, and propose effective solutions.* Conduct design reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor juniorengineers to ensure high-quality designs and adherence to best practices.* Stay up to date with the latest advancements in electronics engineering andapply this knowledge to improve system architecture methodologies, sourcingagility, and design for manufacturability.Qualifications/Education:* Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, with aminimum of 6 years managing teams focused on electronics systems design anddevelopment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.* Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in PCBA design, includingschematic capture, PCB layout, and DFT principles* Proficiency in embedded systems development using code languages such asC, C++, or Python.* Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including powerdistribution, signal integrity, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC),and thermal management.* Experience in radio frequency communications systems and designing relatedcircuitry, including off-the-shelf transceivers, power amplifiers,cry tal tuning, balun filter networks, and antenna design preferred.* Experience in utilizing test and measurement equipment, includingOscilloscopes, Power Supplies, Digital Multimeters, Emulators, SignalGenerators, and Spectrum Analyzers to debug and troubleshoot circuit boardsat both the board and system level.Mesa Labs is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.Mesa Labs prohibits unlawful discrimination and harassment against applicantsor employees based on age, race, sex, color, religion, creed,national origin or ancestry, disability, military status, sexualorientation, or any other status protected by applicable state or local law.
