　　At COMHAR, it's our mission to provide health and human services that empower individuals, families and communities to live healthier, self-determined lives. We are currently looking for an Certified Peer Specialist for our HOPE program.The HOPE (Helping Opportunities for People's Empowerment) program is a site and community based psychiatric rehabilitation program that is part of COMHAR's CIRC (Community Integrated Recovery Center) model for adults and seniors.Responsibilities:Act as a role model to persons in recovery to inspire hope, share life experiences and lessons learned as a person in recoveryEngage individuals who may be at-risk and provide stage-appropriate recovery education and supports, e.g., usage of the leveling system and evidence based practiceAssist in the orientation process for persons who are new to receiving mental health and/or co-occurring disorders servicesAssist in development and implementation of educational and support groups, activities deemed beneficial by the program community, e.g., warm line, calendar of events, etc.Introduce and link individuals to community resources and peer supports outside of the facility to promote community integration, e.g., public transportation training, computer educational/G.E.D. classes, vocational services, (OVR, job training), health and wellness, banking, and financial entitlements, etc.Actively participate in team meetings and promote a recovery perspective as a key component of all discussionsRequirements

　　Requirements:HS/GED + Certified Peer Specialist Certification (CPS)Fluent in both Spanish and EnglishExperience working with people who have co-occurring challenges, Mental Health, and Substance Abuse1 year experience of MH direct serviceThis can be paid or volunteer work experience in MH direct care.
