  As the Manager, Diversity, Equity& Inclusion you have a passion forcreating an equitable, inclusive workplacewhileestablishinga culturethatsupportsteam members' sense of belonging such that team members can betheir authentic self.You will partnerclosely with Executive LeadershiptoembedDEI into the organization's culture, overall brand,mission,vision,and values. Youwill take a leadstrategicrole withinAArete'sDEICenter of Excellenceand will activelyparticipatewith internal andexternal networks to stay on top of emerging trends and best practices.With this being a highly visiblerole,to be successful, we will be lookingfor anentrepreneurial spirit and commitment to excellence.The ability tothrivein a team environment, but also have the ability to work independently.

  Work you'll doDevelop comprehensive strategies focusing on employee, marketplace, andcommunity initiatives to enhance AArete's performance and competitiveness.Monitor and achieve quarterly and annual key performance indicators for ourmulti-year DEI goals.Partner with the talent team to craft dynamic recruiting strategies,building pipelines and hiring talent from underrepresented backgrounds.Provide leadership, coaching and oversight toEmployee ResourceGroups(ERGs), business leaders, scaling inclusion and diversityinitiatives across the organization.Oversee the creation and implementation of an inclusive education roadmapincorporating DEI modules into existing trainings programs.Collaborate with the HR talent development organization to incorporate DEIawareness and skills development and training.Establish external relationships with peer DEI practitioners, representingAArete's inclusion & diversity programs in internal and external forums.Work in partnership with external organizations in the DEI space to developstrategic partnerships, understand best practices and test/learn fromothers to advance the company's strategic commitment and recognition.Partner with HR, department heads, and stakeholders to offer technicalassistance, advice, and consultation on cross-cultural conflicts and policies.Oversee the AArete DEI Council providing support, guidance, and executionof the overall DEI goals.Collaborate with HR to refine diversity tracking methods, enabling theidentification of challenges, establishing goals, and monitoring progress.Play a key role in pinpointing areas of concentration and devising actionableplans to address them.Provide consultation to enhance our organizational climate, ensuring aninclusive, forward-thinking culture that embraces risk-taking andeffectively leverages various dimensions of diversity.Conduct research to create metrics for assessing the impact of implementeddiversity initiatives and deliver quarterly reports to senior management ontheir effectiveness.Supervise external partnerships, affiliations, and networking endeavors.Lead outreach efforts with diversity-focused organizations and supportAffinity Groups by partnering with team members to devise strategies for theiradvancement.Evaluate existing policies, procedures, and practices to ensure they alignwith the DEI vision and mission.Remain up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in DEI.

  Requirements

  8+ yearsleading strategy and initiatives with a focus on diversity,equityand inclusionBachelor's degree in Communications, Sociology, Human Resources orequivalent related experienceMust be local to Chicago ILSelf-starterwith high self-motivation and encouragement toward othersExceptional independent judgementCreative and innovativeleaderExperience establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals at alllevelsSuperior presentation skills - written and verbalChange management understanding and experience a plusStrong Project/Pr cess management; Balance and prioritize competingresponsibilitiesAbility to identify and implement effective and efficient models of workingIntermediary or Advanced skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPointCultural flexibility/adaptabilityAbility to motivate and inspire
