About Manager Brand Marketing

  The dynamic and meticulous Brand Marketing Manager will play a vital role within the marketing team, working closely with the Director of Brand and Engagement to lead public relations, brand storytelling, sponsorships and paid media; plan and lead branded events; and provide support for RIDGID social media efforts. This position will be based out of Elyria, OH.

  In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  As industry leaders in their respective categories we have a rich history of developing and successfully launching award-winning and industry-changing products and solutions. You will continue to add to this legacy of excellence, bringing their own ideas and insights to elevate product awareness and exposure. They will actively plan and engage in public relations as well as developing media and industry relationships, that are aligned with our core communications strategies and brand guidelines. They will also work with outside vendors and creative partners to develop effective PR and branded content.

  This role is part of a dynamic global environment and will work closely with Product Management, Sales, HR, Engineering, Operations, and Leadership. You will also serve as a representative of our brand in interactions with our distributor partners, end users, trade organizations, media outlets, social influencers, and among others. Collaboration and encouraging relationships with these outside partners and internal teams is essential to the success of this role. This includes clearly and succinctly communicating with senior-level executives both inside and outside our organization.

  This person will be proficient on all new and emerging options for media coverage and have experience in all facets of public relations, storytelling, and media planning. Candidates should have dynamic presentation skills and understand be creative and compelling at storytelling in all communications.

  Ideal candidates will understand the metrics and marketing tools that are needed to support product communications across many mediums and will have the skills needed to complete defined communications plans. A strong background in marketing and public relations is crucial.

  Specific responsibilities will include:

  Scout, lead, and enhance earned media opportunities using traditional and new PR mediums including press releases, podcasts, media tours, storytelling, and encouraging opportunities with industry associations.

  Pitch story ideas to relevant trade media outlets, associations, influencers, and local/national/trade media in engaging ways.

  Review analytics and build reports on initiatives.

  Lead all brand-related industry sponsorships and partnerships, including planning and completing relevant events, donations, or other collaborations.

  Serve as the event management point person for all Elyria-based brand-related events, including trade shows, customer events, community relations/events, media visits, etc.

  Apply all established processes, including brand standards and field books. Own, update and distribute ProTools brand documents and other standardized branded materials.

  Assist in implementing a social media strategy for the RIDGID and Greenlee brands.

  Assist in developing engaging content across social channels for media and influencers.

  Own the branded online premiums store, including selecting brand-appropriate products

  For This Role, You Will Need:

  Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field from an accredited college or university

  5 years of proven experience in marketing or public relations

  The ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects at once

  Integrated campaign planning

  Excellent oral and written communication skills

  Experience with digital marketing programs, marketing automation and personalized marketing

  Strong understanding of social media communication styles and social media tools

  Team-oriented approach

  Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite
