Description Twin Cities PBS (TPT) is one of the most innovative public media organizations in the country. TPT presents extraordinary PBS programming and also produces award-winning content for the national PBS system. POSITION SUMMARY: Twin Cities PBS (TPT) is seeking a full-time Digital Media Specialist to manage the distribution of digital content across multiple online/digital platforms. The Digital Media Specialist will work collaboratively with the grant-funded Ready to Learn (RTL) digital, content, and administrative teams to assist in the development of digital products, including online/digital platforms and games. They will also work with internal teams to collect digital assets and distribute them to multiple online/digital platforms. This is a grant funded position, and the applicant is expected to participate in a hybrid workplace environment in Downtown St. Paul. Salary: $59,000 - $70,000 annually (depending on qualifications). * This grant-supported project will operate through August 2025. Pending completion of project milestones, there could be the option for renewal. * MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: DIGITAL PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT (45% of time) Examples may include Working collaboratively with the RTL digital, content, and administrative teams to assist in the development of digital products, including online/digital platforms and games. Working with internal teams to collect digital assets and distribute them to multiple online/digital platforms. Regularly test all content on multiple platforms to ensure fidelity and quality. Assisting with quality assurance and user experience testing of digital games and products. Maintaining digital devices and ensure they are regularly updated. Communicates with internal and external clients and stakeholders regularly and clearly to facilitate workflow, project planning and execution. DIGITAL ASSET MANAGEMENT (50% of time) Example may include: Managing content on media platforms by creating content through a CMS, drafting text, coordinating text edits, performing final copy edits, tracking multiple versions of assets, and ensuring the correct versions of assets are being distributed/uploaded. Examples of this task include updating the project website with new content such as blog posts and videos. Review updated content on multiple platforms to ensure fidelity and quality. *Collaborates with colleagues to manage deliverables. Other duties as assigned (5% of time) Assist with on-site and local events as needed. Participate as an active member of the Ready To Learn Team. Contribute to shared goals and collaborate with colleagues on achievement of priorities. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree or higher. Photoshop fluency or equivalent fluency with image manipulation techniques and software. 2+ years of content management experience and applicable digital technology. For example, using WordPress, Google classroom, etc. Experience/familiarity with and interest in educational game development and children's media preferred. Ability to learn new software and tools in a timely manner. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Experience using Adobe Premiere. Proven ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks within time constraints. Scripting/Programming experience (HTML5 and/or JavaScript). Experience using Adobe Premiere. Experience using code repositories (github, profoce, etc), or the willingness to learn. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Tech literacy including the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve new technologies. Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive, Teams, the Adobe Creative Suite. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Exceptionally organized and detail oriented with specific attention to following naming conventions and metadata structures.
