Description:
1st shift - 7 - 3pm
3rd shift - 11pm - 7am
The function of the maintenance position is to maintain, repair and troubleshoot our print manufacturing equipment.
2nd shift - 3pm - 11 am Mon - Fri (must be open to working OT and being on call)
• Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
• Prioritize assignments based on how important the problem is and what order tasks should be done in.
• Assisting with the installation of new machinery.
• Installing or re-routing new/existing electrical and air lines to improve form and function.
• Working with outside contractors brought into the facility for emergency repairs or new installations.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations, including our food safety program and Lock and Tag out procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all production equipment.
• Assist with managing machine spare parts inventory.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and 6S program within the facility.
• Housekeeping of the maintenance department.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Very strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, especially for troubleshooting.
• Capable of recognizing different approaches to different situations
• Strong communication and leadership qualities
• Capable of identifying problems using logic and reasoning to review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
• Willingness and capability to learn complex machinery and multi-craft systems.
• Strong teamwork ability.
• High level of initiative, with a can-do attitude.
• High School Diploma
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical background.
• Multi-craft maintenance experience desirable.
• Experience in the printing industry preferred
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical blueprints.
