About Maintenance Technician

  Description:

  Maintenance technician that will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs mechanically/electrically. Nikkei produces Molten Aluminum so equipment candidates will be working on include furnaces, dryers, and mixers. They will also be responsible for performing any repairs needed to facility and manufacturing equipment including forklifts and conveyors. Recently added a large shredding machine that breaks up metal.

  Mechanical Troubleshooting includes hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, pumps, motors, preventative maintenance on furnaces and Conyers.

  Components they most frequently will troubleshoot and repair include PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), 3 Phase Motors (480 V), Hydraulics, Pneumatics, belts, motors, bearings. They also will perform rigging where they move equipment throughout facility.

  This role would be considered 60/40 Mechanical and Electrical

  This candidate will be there go to for all electrical break downs ranging from PLC troubleshooting, Electrical troubleshooting, and training other techs. However with this being on 3rd shift the role will be much more mechanical with Hydraulic and pneumatics being a big emphasis.

  3rd shift 7pm-7am. Work 2on 2off 3on 3off.

  Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  Must Haves

  *5+ years of performing electrical/mechanical repairs

  *Automotive or Heavy Equipment Manufacturing Experience (Ideally Experience working with furnaces or heat treat equipment)

  *Electrical Troubleshooting

  Disquals:

  *Experience only in Food & Beverage manufacturing or distribution background

  *No ability to troubleshoot PLCs

  *Must be willing to perform all aspects of the job including facility and machine maintenance
