----Job Description----We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Puyallup, WA for our Sunday through Thursday with Friday and Saturday off. Shift is 3:30 pm to 12:00 am.The Maintenance Technician will Maintain and repair mechanical/electrical/boiler systems within a manufacturing environment; execute capital projects (installation, dismantling of equipment) and other various maintenance tasks throughout the facility.Duties and Responsibilities:* Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.* Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems* Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair* Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment according to specific procedures.* Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to production specifications* Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.* Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information.* Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance* Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operations.* Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage, using cranes, hoists, or dollies.* Collect and discard worn machine parts and other refuse in order to maintain machinery and work areas.* Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment* Other duties as assignedBase Wages:* $33.65 per hour + $1.00 shift differential* $3000 sign on bonus provided in installments: $1000 after 90 days; $1000 after 180 days; $1000 after 270 daysWorking Conditions & Physical Requirements:This position conducts their work in a manufacturing environment with some exposure to the outdoors; there is exposure to loud machinery, fumes, odors, and dust. Business is cyclical and will require flexibility in shift hours and days of the week worked.For this position, it is required to be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently. There is a repetitive use of hands required with simple grasping and pushing and pulling constantly up to 50 pounds.In addition this position requires the following abilities: Standing, Walking, Lifting, Reaching above shoulders, Bending and Twisting.Travel Requirement* No travel is required for this position.
