Job Summary:
The maintenance supervisor/planner is responsible for managing the design, planning, construction, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities. The position plans, purchases, receives, inventories, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials, and other related costs.
____________ Duties and Responsibilities:
Directs employees throughout the facilities regarding EHS. Review’s safety rules, standard operating procedures and makes recommendations for improvements. Takes proactive role in accident prevention.2. Plans and supervises both short- and long-range machine maintenance including coordination of scheduled outages.3. Establishes and manages process for 3rd party repair work. Ensure timely turnaround time to meet scheduled maintenance plan.4. Builds comprehensive plans for maintenance work including parts, internal labor, 3rd party labor, 3rd party services, rental equipment, etc.5. Establishes and leads after action review for planned jobs to ensure learnings are built into future work.6. Manages special projects as defined by plant engineer and/or facilities manager7. Manages and improves preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize plant downtime and waste generation. 8. Coordinates training and developmental programs to improve the maintenance organization.9. Coordinate’s maintenance planning including purchasing of sundry supplies and equipment. 10. Responsible for managing storeroom, including parts, ordering, inventory accuracy and valuation.11. Maintains and improves the Maintenance Management System (MMS) for effective data generation, analysis, and process support.Other:• Must adhere to all company and location policies and safety rules• Must be able to work extended hours when required• All other duties as assigned ____________
Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required for Consideration as a Candidate:(If a degree is required it must be from an accredited institution)
Five (5) plus years of combined maintenance experience (required).
Associates degree in manufacturing technology/maintenance related field (preferred).
Three (3) plus years of supervisory experience (required) and union/multi-trade work force experience (preferred).
Familiarity with pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, and instrumentation (preferred)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent project management skills
Strong time management and prioritization skills

Able to execute/manage without direct supervision
10-hour OSHA course
Lean Manufacturing a plus
Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as a group
Strong leadership and motivational skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to interact with vendors and internal customers.
Comp:
$75,000 - 90,000 Annually
