  THE POSITION

  The Department of Human Services, Bureau of Juvenile Justice Services, Youth Forestry Camp 3 is looking for hard-working and enthusiastic individuals who are committed to taking pride in keeping the building and grounds safe from hazards, comfortable for residents, practical for employees, and appealing to visitors by using a variety of maintenance skills.

  DESCRIPTION OF WORK

  You will perform semi-skilled and skilled work in several trades such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry, and electrical trades both indoors and outdoors to keep the buildings and grounds safe for residents and staff, you will also be working in the facility waterand waste water treatment plant and will be trained to become a certified operator.

  Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  Full-time employment.Work hours are 8:00am - 4:00pm (negotiable), Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Hours may change based on operational needs.Position is considered essential during weather and other emergency events.Travel and Overtime: As needed.FREE PARKING!Salary:* *In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.The Department of Human Services provides excellent benefits, pay increases, paid leave and holidays, as well as opportunities for career advancement.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.   QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; orTwo years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; orAny equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.Necessary Special Requirement:

  This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license.Other Requirements:
