MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Store Operations: Open and close the store as directed by the Store Manager. Perform management tasks such as receiving, pricing, and merchandising. Assist with the maintenance and merchandising of the store to ensure a neat, orderly, well-stocked, and appealing shopping environment.
Customer Service: Greet customers warmly upon entering the store, providing immediate and complete attention. Answer questions on product application or use, and emphasize the "Total solution" approach, showcasing related products and services to meet customers' project needs.
Sales Transactions: Handle all aspects of retail sales, including ringing up sales on the Point of Sale (POS) system. Handle customer refunds and overrides, preparing necessary documentation in accordance with prescribed procedures.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to assist with unloading trucks, pricing, and merchandising. Be flexible to perform various duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:
Minimum of high school graduate.
Knowledge of woodworking and hand tools desirable.
Previous retail sales experience is desirable.
Strong service orientation to maximize customer satisfaction.
Ability to understand customers' requests and respond effectively to their needs.
Ability to make management decisions when required.
Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis, and team lift up to 400 lbs. with assistance.
Attendance is an essential function of this position.
