PURPOSE STATEMENT The Maintenance Planner schedules preventivemaintenance and work orders/ requests for the Niles facility usingCMMS(SAP). This individual will work with the Maintenance Supervisor andProduction Manager for planning of work against a forecasted budget andlocation goals.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Manage and maintain the site CMMS(Computerized Maintenance Management System) which is SAP.
* Schedule preventative maintenance, issue work orders.
* Schedule time, material and resources for preventative, predictiveand reactive work on the production floor. These resources may beexternal as in the case of an outside vendor performing calibrations,roof work, etc..
* Continuously improve PM effectiveness through optimizing work,detail, frequency and parts required.
* Process PM procedures submitted by the Engineering and Maintenancemanagement. Enter information into the CMMS/SAP system. Generate andissue weekly preventative maintenance work orders to the maintenanceteam.
* Process new equipment into the system as it is received. Includesserial numbers, warranty information, cost of equipment, setting upproper preventive maintenance procedures, LOTO procedures, safety checksheets, and equipment identification tagging.
* Lead and participate in group teams for continuous improvementinitiatives.
* Assist with coordination of procurement records such as items orservices purchased costs, delivery, product quality, and inventory.
* Discuss defective or unacceptable good or services with users,vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take appropriatecorrective action.
* Work closely with MRO Buyer for parts buying and act as a backup forthe Buyer position
* Plan work against a forecasted budget.
* Work with other Departments to ensure that the Plant maintains itsSQF level
* Receiving of parts and assisting in cycle counts
* Build an accurate/complete BOM\'s to improve SAP and to use theinformation for the proper kitting of parts for mechanic.
* Participate in weekly planning meetings with Fridley departmentalrepresentatives.
* Participate and take an active role in safety committee meetings.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES Prior maintenance planning/coordinationexperience or equivalent.
* Minimum of 2 years previous maintenance mechanic or equivalentexperience in a manufacturing facility.
* Proven strong technical Knowledge
* Working knowledge & experience using CMMS systems for planningpurposes.
Computer Skills: Must have strong computer/database management skills,including the ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets
* Communication Skills: must be able to communicate verbally and inwriting with all levels of the workforce.
* Planning/Organizational Skills: must have the ability to effectivelyprioritize tasks that align to changing business needs.
