　　Southern Industrial is looking for a Maintenance Multi-craft Journeyman for a maintenance site in Wilmington, NC working. The shift hours are 11pm-7:30am

　　The Maintenance Multi-craft requires a High School graduate/ GED and a minimum of four years’ experience working in two or more craft trades such as Mechanical, Rigging, Welding, Civil, Pipefitting and Sheetmetal. This position will support Maintenance through the safe performance of a wide range of manual and skilled labor tasks.

　　Essential Functions/Duties:

　　NOTE: The essential functions performed by the Maintenance Multi-craft will be dependent upon which crafts the Multi-craftsman is trained and skilled to perform.

　　· Perform new or modified installations to safely, effectively and efficiently complete some or all of the following tasks: fabricate, assemble, rig, install, or maintain piping, fixtures, structures, machinery and equipment consistent with specifications and drawings.

　　· Work within precise standards of accuracy to perform tasks involving dexterous use of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.

　　· Understand and follow directions, plans, sketches and blueprints.

　　· Support other maintenance employees as directed.

　　· Ability to use and operate hand and power tools such as electric saws, drills, drivers, wrenches, and other power and hand tools as needed in a safe, efficient manner.

　　· Able to safely operate a Manlift and other powered equipment as needed.

　　· Perform work from scaffolding, ladders or other structures.

　　· Must have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

　　· Skilled in both written and verbal communication.

　　· Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC.

　　· Observe SIC and Customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.

　　· Have thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of maintenance duties.

　　· Perform safety inspections of work area, equipment and tools to ensure compliance with government regulations, customer requirements, and SIC’s safety program.

　　· Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment.

　　· Perform other job duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.

　　Working Conditions/Physical Effort:

　　Conditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, and warehouses, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions. Must be able to safely access all areas of property and buildings. Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds. Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position. Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools. Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working on ladders, and in awkward body positions.
