　　                JOB SUMMARY

　　To ensure that there is an optimum level of stock maintained on a consistent basis, and that the cost prices of this stock will lead to maximization of company profit.   Assistant Purchasing with day-to-day operations. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

　　PO’s – Purchasing for raw ingredients, as well as consumables such as office supplies and PPE.

　　Moderate to High volumes of Data Entry

　　Work with our Quality Assurance team to confirm all requirements for supplies and material entering the plant meet requirements and have COA if required by our Foods Safety Plan.

　　Communicate effectively with multiple departments each day.

　　Request quotes and confirm pricing with vendors. Moderate to heavy phone activity required daily.

　　Review inventory reports and work with inventory staff to confirm on hand counts of materials needed for production.

　　Create and submit Purchase Orders to vendors online and by phone.

　　Confirm all orders placed with vendors and relay ETA’s to various team members.

　　Review BOLs and other receiving documents for accuracy before entering information into the receiving system.

　　Certain certifications will need to be obtained – training and testing will be provided.

　　Multitasking is a MUST with a high rate of accuracy, efficiency, and a positive can-do attitude.

　　Other responsibilities as assigned.

　　  EDUCATION/EXPEREINCE

　　BC SaS experience required.

　　Import and Export experience a plus

　　High school diploma or equivalent required.

　　Food industry background a plus but not required.

　　HACCP Certification  and PCQI Certification a plus

　　Must be proficient with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook.

　　Accuracy and efficiency with numbers is essential to success at this position.

　　Ability to organize, store and retrieve data electronically is key to success at this position.

　　  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

　　The position requires working in a multi-person office space and sitting for hours at a time at a computer. 

　　This position is 100% onsite at our Abilene Facility

　　Schedule Monday- Friday 8:30 am-5:00 pm
