　　WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER

　　The Equipment Operator/Maintenance Mechanic maintains facilities, toolsand equipment, mechanical systems and vehicles and preserve areasfrequented by the visiting public. They undertake restoration projectson preserves and maintain equipment.

　　The Equipment Operator/Maintenance Mechanic operates heavy machinery,leads work teams, remove exotic species and/or conducts speciesmonitoring and manages livestock, if necessary. They will serve on thefire crew and assist with inventory and purchasing of machinery.

　　May work in variable weather conditions, at remote locations, ondifficult and hazardous terrain, and under physically demandingcircumstances.

　　WHAT YOU\'LL BRING

　　* High school diploma and 4 years\' direct experience in appliedmechanical maintenance.

　　* Experience operating and/or repairing various types of equipment andmachinery. (e.g.; lawn mower, chainsaw, tractor, backhoe, bulldozer,dump truck, two-way radio, etc.).

　　* Experience working with electrical, plumbing, welding, and concrete.

　　* Experience coordinating teams to complete construction and repairprojects.

　　* Must have a valid driver\'s license. Please indicate this in yourresume.

　　* Must be able to obtain related licenses or certifications required toparticipate in prescribed burns or C R, first aid, etc.

　　* Must be qualified as a Fire Fighter Type 2 (FFT2) or willingness toachieve in a short timeframe, including Introduction to ICS (I-100),Human Factors on the Fire line (L-180), Introduction to Wild land FireBehavior (S-190), Firefighting Training (S-130), and one training burnserving under the supervision of a qualified FFT2. 　　DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

　　* Experience working with or knowledge of natural systems.

　　* Ability to recognize plant and animal species to complete preservemanagement activities.

　　* Ability to complete tasks independently and manage diverse activitiesunder deadlines.

　　* PC familiarity.
