Basic Job Functions:
The person selected for this position will support the Mechanical Supervisor and/or Maintenance Leader of a given area in the responsibility of all Mechanical Maintenance of that area, to include continuous improvement of Safety Culture, Predictive and Preventive Maintenance systems, Project Coordination and Team Development, with an emphasis on projects that will produce Bottom Line Results. The person selected will be expected to lead, motivate, develop, and assist a team; manage large projects from start to completion; communicate well with both production and maintenance; show concern for our customers needs; and wisely manage contractors and costs. The person selected for this position will be expected to work nights, weekends, holidays, and cover shift when needed. [[cust_safetyState]]
Minimum Requirements:
5 yrs steel mill related main experience.
Project management experience
Detailed Selection Criteria:
Maintenance Systems and Techniques: Basic mechanical, electrical and engineering knowledge for assisting with servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing moving parts and equipment.
Leadership Presence and Courage: Willingness and confidence to have immediate and direct conversations on critical alignment issues such as teamwork, building relationships, initiating and supporting change, and production process issues that arise. This includes the willingness to face adversity and conflict head on.
